Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Dropbox action integrates your Dropbox account with JXiForms.

Purpose of Dropbox Action

Using this action you can move the uploaded files (all/single/selected) in your Dropbox account.

Dropbox action can be configured as :

Step 1:

Dropbox action is a pre-installed action and enabled by-default. If it's not appearing in the list of actions to create then go to plugin manager and enable its plugin named Dropbox.

Step 2:

Step 3:

[span style="line-height: 1.3em;"]Enter the details asked in the Dropbox action screen.[/span]

Under the Dropbox - Details section

  • [strong style="line-height: 1.3em;"]Title :[/strong][span style="line-height: 1.3em;"] Title of the action.[/span]

  • [strong style="line-height: 1.3em;"]Published :[/strong][span style="line-height: 1.3em;"] It indicates the status of the action (published or not).[/span]

  • [strong style="line-height: 1.3em;"]Description :[/strong][span style="line-height: 1.3em;"] Description of the action.[/span]

  • [strong style="line-height: 1.3em;"]Select Form :[/strong][span style="line-height: 1.3em;"] Here you can select the form list on which you want to apply this action.[/span]

  • [strong style="line-height: 1.3em;"]Require Approval :[/strong][span style="line-height: 1.3em;"] This parameter lets you decide whether to put approval request before moving the uploaded file in your[/span]Dropbox[span style="line-height: 1.3em;"]account. If you set this to YES then uploaded file(s) will not be moved to your account unless you approve it. If you set this to NO then file(s) will be added to your Dropbox account without any intervention.[/span]

Step 4:

Under Parameter Section

  • [span style="line-height: 1.3em;"]Dropbox Email Id :Enter your Dropbox login email id here.[/span]

  • [span style="line-height: 1.3em;"]Dropbox Password :Enter password of the same Dropbox account.[/span]

  • [span style="line-height: 1.3em;"]Destination Directory :Here you can mention the directory where files will be moved. Directory will be created if it does not exist.[/span]

  • [strong style="line-height: 1.3em;"]File-Upload Field Name :[/strong][span style="line-height: 1.3em;"] here you need to enter the name of the field given in html code for file upload element.[/span]

For multiple upload files, you need to enter multiple field names separated by comma in “File-Upload Field Name” parameter.

Leave this field blank if you wish to move all the uploaded files to your Dropbox account.
